Several months ago, Tubi started streaming Community, Dan Harmon’s cult hit comedy about a study group at Greendale Community College. The service only had the first two seasons of the series initially, allowing folks to start watching Community without being able to finish it. The later seasons have been added to Tubi since then, but they have come at the expense of the early installments.
When Tubi added Community Seasons 3 and 4 a couple of months ago, they didn’t join the first two seasons on the lineup. Instead, those two seasons simply replaced the first two, meaning that anyone jumping in and discovering the show wouldn’t be able to start at the beginning.
In other words, if you’re streaming Community on Tubi, you better be on the service’s timetable. There have only been two seasons of the show on Tubi at any given time, a pattern that continued into September. Seasons 5 and 6 of Community joined Tubi’s lineup on September 1st, but you’ll notice that they are now the only seasons of the show available on the service. The previous two seasons are now gone.
This makes sense as a streaming system, rotating out a popular series a couple of seasons at a time and, in theory, allowing fans to watch through the show over the span of several months. However, if you weren’t aware of that system right at the beginning, it might be a lot more frustrating.
