Not only does Homelander possess incredible strength and durability, but his heart is consumed by hate, which drives him to make rash decisions. There’s no way for The Boys to find their footing when they’re going up against him. Fortunately, a new path to victory may be revealing itself, as one Supe is proving that they can surpass Homelander.
Gen V Holds the Key to Destroying The Boys‘ Homelander

The first season of The Boys spinoff, Gen V, lacks the same stakes as the flagship show. Nobody is gunning for the Oval Office or blowing up people’s heads (for the most part). What Gen V does have going for it, though, is that it introduces a new generation of Supes. The students at Godolkin University all aspire to become members of The Seven, and a few of them possess the necessary qualities. Jordan Li, for example, has two different sets of powers that make them a tough matchup for anyone. However, Jordan doesn’t hold the spotlight for long, as a challenger emerges from nowhere and puts the entire campus on notice. Marie Moreau can control blood, which may seem gross but proves to be very effective.
In Season 2, the new dean at Godolkin, Cipher, takes great interest in Marie because he sees potential in her, going as far as to say that she can be more powerful than Homelander. She doesn’t believe him at first, but after he pushes her limits in Episode 4, her tune changes. Marie’s cage match with Jordan proves that she can go toe-to-toe with heavyweights by controlling their blood rather than just her own. The only issue is that Marie lacks the right teacher. Cipher is only out to help himself, but there is someone else in Marie’s life who can lend a helping hand, and they happen to be a major part of the battle against Homelander.
