Hulk Hogan’s Forgotten TV Show Is Making a Comeback Following His Death

Today, Variety announced that the 1985 animated series Hulk Hogan’s Rock ‘n’ Wrestling is jumping to the WWE Vault YouTube channel. WWE will begin airing these episodes on September 6th, and they will be released in batches of four episodes every Saturday morning.

They will air on WWE Vault in chronological order and will drop at the times of 6 AM EST, 8 AM EST, 10 AM EST, and 12 PM EST. Since they are in chronological order, the first batch of four episodes will include Junkyard 500/Junkenstein, The Four-Legged Pickpocket, Clean Gene/Andre’s Giant Problem, and Gorilla My Dreams.

What Was Hulk Hogan’s Rock’n’Wrestling?

For those who don’t remember the original series, Hulk Hogan’s Rock’n’Wrestling began in 1985 and featured Hogan and his friends getting into all sorts of chaotic adventures as he would collide with heels like Roddy Piper. Along the way, Hogan would interact with legends like Junkyard Dog, Andre the Giant, The Iron Sheik, Bobby Heenan, Captain Lou, Big John Studd, Mene Gene, Superbly Snuka, and more.

The show ran for two seasons and ended up completing 26 episodes in all, and these episodes featured everything from Hogan becoming a model for an art class and helping to get rid of ghosts in a friend’s house to making an outfit for Andre to attend a high school reunion and being in a jousting contest to claim a castle, and there were plenty of hijinks throughout the show’s two season run.

The Passing of an Icon

The wrestling world was in shock at the passing of Hogan earlier this year, whose real name was Terry Bollea. Hogan passed away at the age of 71 after being rushed to the hospital from his Clearwater, Florida home. Tributes started coming in soon after from family, friends, and fans, and WWE would pay tribute to Hogan on Raw, NXT, and SmackDown throughout the week.
