House of the Dragon renewed for Season 3
House of the Dragon was renewed for a third season back in July, even before Season 2 premiered.

What is House of the Dragon about?
Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood” book,ย House of the Dragonย is set 200 years before the events ofย Game of Thrones. In Season 2 ofย House of the Dragon,ย Westeros is on the brink of a bloody civil war with the Green and Black Councils fighting for King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra, respectively. The Season 2 finale ofย House of the Dragonย premieres Sunday on HBO at 9 p.m. ET.
