The second season finale left the original crew in shambles as Ezra was easily tricked by Darth Maul to gain access to the Sith Holocron (and in turn swayed by the Dark Side), Ashoka’s status as living or dead was in question after a duel with Darth Vader, and Kanaan was brutally blinded in battle.
Star Wars Rebels Season 3 promises to deliver a much more mature and stronger Ezra, the entrance of the new big bad Grand Admiral Thrawn, a new Force intelligent character named Bendu, and of course more of sinister Maul.
Disney XD officially released three new character descriptions that may lend a few hints as to the final battle. Keep in mind that during the timeline of Star Wars Rebels, a certain foe of Darth Maul’s is on the planet Tatooine and his name may start with Obi and end with Kenobi.
