With filming about to start, Spaceballs 2 is ready to reveal its stacked cast. Familiar faces are gearing up to reprise their roles alongside a few Hollywood heavyweights. Here’s every confirmed actor for Spaceballs 2, along with the Star Wars character they’ll be parodying.
9) Mel Brooks

In addition to standing behind the camera, Mel Brooks works in front of it in Spaceballs, playing both President Skroob and Yogurt. Since Yogurt, a much less wise version of Yoda, is the one who mentions the idea of Spaceballs getting the sequel, it’s only natural that he’s back for the follow-up.
8) Rick Moranis

Comedy legend Rick Moranis, best known for Ghostbusters and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, plays Dark Helmet, one of the leaders of Planet Spacebell. The black costume he dons makes it clear that he’s a parody of Darth Vader, cinema’s greatest villain. Dark Helmet will have a lot of work to do if he wants to catch Vader, especially in the hallway fight department.
7) Bill Pullman

Planet Spaceball doesn’t go unchecked in Spaceballs, as a group of heroes strikes back against them. Leading the pack is Lone Star, played by Bill Pullman, who is as much Luke Skywalker as he is Han Solo. While Lone Star probably won’t have his sea legs underneath him anymore, he’s sure to have some words of wisdom for the next generation.
6) Daphne Zuniga

By Lone Star’s side is Daphne Zuniga’s Princess Vespa, who Dark Helmet and Co. want to get their hands on. Her story is very similar to Princess Leia’s, which probably doesn’t bode well for her marriage to Lone Star going into Space Balls 2. At least she’ll have her son to lean on when times get tough.
5) George Wyner

The final Spaceballs cast member confirmed to be returning for the sequel is George Wyner, who brought Colonel Sandurz to life. Instead of selling fried chicken, Sandurz plays the Grand Moff Tarkin role, pushing Dark Helmet’s buttons and failing right alongside him. Of course, Tarkin doesn’t make it out of the first Star Wars movie, so Sandurz is already in uncharted territory.
