A report from Deadline states that Henry Cavill was injured during pre-production of Amazon MGM Studios’ Highlander film. Apparently, he was training on the set when the injury occurred, but it’s not known what the injury was. As a result of the injury, production is likely to be delayed until the top of next year (2026).
What Is Highlander?

Highlander originally won the hearts of fans when it debuted in 1986, with Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery starring as Connor MacLeod and Ramirez, respectively. The film told the story of immortal warriors battling throughout time, and would get a sequel in the form of Highlander II: The Quickening in 1991.
That was followed by Highlander: The Final Dimension in 1994, but also during this point, a new Highlander television series was airing, featuring Adrian Paul in the lead role. Paul played the role of Duncan MacLeod, who was also immortal and a member of Clan MacLeod, and the series would run for six seasons. Eventually, the two main stars would collide in Highlander: Endgame in 2000.
