Gearbox CEO Fights Back Borderlands 4 Reviews
If you’re hoping to jump back into the worlds of Borderlands, you’ll be happy to know that the Metacritic score for the game is sitting at 84 from critics, which isn’t indicative of a masterpiece, but still very favorable (it’s a higher score than Borderlands 3 received). However, the user reviews are another story. On Steam, the game currently holds a “mixed” review, which isn’t great. Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford had something to say about these reviews over the weekend, and his response certainly isn’t what players wanted to hear.
While the look isn’t the best for the CEO game creator, hopefully fans will look past it and try the game anyways. Official critics have still praised the game for its plot and new mechanics, so hopefully there’s still something to enjoy, and we have no doubt that it will improve with time.
