Hot Topic’s Kuromi’s Mischief Mansion collection includes a t-shirts, shorts, pajama pants, and a hoodie, all punk’d up with the purple and black aesthetic from the game The acid wash t-shirt speaks out to me personally, a grunge look at calls back to the 90s while still mixing in the softer side of Sanrio. Boo! Did These Spooky Sanrio Characters Scare You?
Sanrio has been rolling in the collaborations lately, making sure that more and more people are paying attention to the adorable characters in the Hello Kitty world. Back in August, the crochet-kit company Woobles dropped their own Sanrio collaboration – a giant, Halloween-themed bundle that showed off all the Sanrio characters in adorable spooky fashion. Badtz-maru, Chococat, Halloween Hello Kitty, and Kuromi all appear as tiny crochet sets, apparently easy enough for non-crocheters to pick up and get started. Each kit contains a custom crochet hook, access to follow-along videos, and a pre-started yarn chain for the new project. If you were looking for a new hobby, this might be it.
I actually got started on my own Woobles project recently, marking the beginning of my own crochet journey. While not finished yet, hopefully soon I’ll be able to share my wonderful adventure into the crochet world, all thanks to Woobles.
