Pocketpair has now unveiled plans for Palworld‘s anticipated 1.0 release and departure from its Early Access period. In a development update posted to YouTube, Palworld communications director, known online as Bucky, detailed the mindset and expectations for 1.0 and announced that the game is planned to fully launch in 2026, five years after it was initially revealed to the public.
Players Should Expect Less Palworld Content Until 1.0
Because Pocketpair is nearing the end of Palworld’s development and the studio needs to focus on fine-tuning the game for its 1.0 release, there will be fewer updates to the Early Access version over the next few months. โ[This] means that things will be a little quiet from us for the rest of the year,โ said Bucky. โIt also means that our winter update wonโt be as big as Feybreak was. We hope our players understand that weโre taking this extra time to improve the game overall.โ
Although Palworld has come a long way from its early jank, bugs are still a common part of the experience. Despite occasional issues, it remains impressive that this titleโs quality and creativity feel comparable to AAA releases. Itโs even more of a triumph when considering that Palworld is dealing with lawsuit threats from Nintendo and is being tossed around at the whims of new patents that affect its gameplay systems.
