Spotted today on RGG Studio’s own website, the developer briefly made mention of Yakuza Kiwami 3 via a new tag. Presumably, this would be a remake/remaster of 2010’s Yakuza 3 for modern platforms in the same vein as what was seen with Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2. Not long after RGG listed Yakuza Kiwami 3 on its website, it quickly deleted the mention, but not before fans were able to notice it. The assumption is that this announcement is being planned behind the scenes at the company right now, which resulted in it hitting the internet earlier than it was supposed to.
Should Fans Be Excited About This New Yakuza Game?

The prospect of Yakuza Kiwami 3 is pretty interesting for a variety of reasons. For starters, it has been over eight years since Yakuza Kiwami 2 released, which led fans to believe that the “Kiwami” style of remakes that RGG Studio created with its first two Yakuza titles could be a thing of the past. While other Yakuza remakes, such as Like a Dragon: Ishin, have come about in the time since, it was generally assumed that RGG Studio might never look to remake any other mainline Yakuza entries. Luckily, it now looks like that won’t be the case.
