Downloadable now for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, Battlefield 6 update version 1.1.3.0 makes a ton of different overhauls. On the new content front, Battlefield Studios has added a winter-themed map that will only remain in the game for a limited time. Other than this, a new game mode, a melee weapon, and an additional reward track to the Battle Pass have also come about with this patch.

When it comes to balance adjustments, Battlefield 6 has received some tweaks associated with visibility, audio, and hit registration, just to name a few. Battlefield Studios has also squashed hundreds of different bugs in BF6 with this update, which should lead to the game becoming far better than it was before.

Major Updates for 1.1.3.0

Areas of Improvement

AUDIO

With this update, weโ€™ve made a wide range of audio improvements, including a dedicated tuning pass on footsteps to make movement clearer, easier to locate, and more readable at different distances.

Weโ€™ve also continued addressing performance and memory issues that could cause sounds, such as footsteps or vehicle audio, to drop out or fail to play, especially during large-scale Battle Royale matches. To get ahead of this as we add more audio content to the game, weโ€™ve adjusted the memory priorities for most sounds in the game and optimized how some larger audio assets load. In practical terms, this means that important combat, movement, and vehicle sounds should play more consistently even under heavy load.

These changes are part of an ongoing effort to improve the overall stability of the soundscape. While this isnโ€™t a complete overhaul, and there may still be edge cases depending on hardware and match conditions, it’s a big step toward more reliable and predictable sound across the game.
