The Justice League needs powerful heroes, but that can be dangerous if they were ever to break or be taken over. In fact, there are many Justice Leaguers who could destroy the planet if it came down to it. These ten Justice Leaguers could destroy the Earth, their powers and resources making them planet-killers.
10) Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman is one of DC’s oldest heroes, and has long been considered among the most formidable. However, as powerful as she is, she’s not enough to destroy the Earth on her own. However, as we’ve seen in stories like Flashpoint, Wonder Woman and the Amazons have the power to destroy the planet. Wonder Woman at the head of an army of Amazons, armed with their advanced technology and magic, would be enough to destroy everything in front of them, ending the world as we know it.
9) Green Lantern
The Green Lanterns are one of the greatest forces in the DC Multiverse; their power rings are considered the most powerful weapons in the universe. Hal Jordan has proven to be the most skilled Lantern in the Corps, and it wouldn’t be all that hard for him to destroy the Earth. The Green Lantern ring allows its wearer to create anything they can imagine, so that means Hal could come up with a planet-destroying weapon if he put his mind to it (and Hal is considered the best ringslinger, to this is definitely possible). On top of that, he could throw asteroids at the planet until it broke up. Hal Jordan doesn’t need the power of Parallax to destroy the Earth, just his power ring.
8) The Flash
Several of the Flashes have been members of the Justice League, most notably Barry Allen and Wally West, and they could destroy the Earth if they gave it enough thought. The Speed Force gives the Flash amazing power (although Wally West is definitely the more powerful Flash of the two), and it’s enough to destroy everything. For example, what would happen to the Earth if the Flash ran around the planet at the speed of light? Or more than the speed of light? The answer is almost certainly nothing good. The Flash could drill a hole to the center of the planet and release civilization-ending levels of lava on the world. On top of that, the Flash could use the infinite mass punch on the planet itself, which would be enough to crack the planet. The Flash can do way more than just run fast, and that power would allow him to destroy Earth.
7) Firestorm
Firestorm is a roiling cauldron of energy. He has some pretty standard superhero powers — flight, super strength, phasing, invulnerability, and energy blasts — but his true power comes from his ability to manipulate matter. Firestorm can change molecules, building compounds out of the molecules around him. Firestorm could create plasma that could destroy everything in its way, including the very earth itself, and that’s only the beginning of what Firestorm could do if he put his mind to it. On top of that, his powers are nuclear in nature, meaning that he could certainly create a big enough explosion to crack the planet or burn it to cinders.
6) Martian Manhunter
Martian Manhunter is an underrated hero; his coterie of powers makes him one of the most formidable members of the Justice League. Martian Manhunter is Superman-level strong, meaning he could definitely destroy the Earth with the tried and true “throw massive space debris at the planet” method. However, Martian Manhunter is the most powerful telepath on the planet, meaning he could shut down people’s autonomic nervous systems, killing scores of humans at a time. He could also take control of heroes with more destructive powers than him and use them to destroy everything. Martian Manhunter would make a near-unstoppable villain and would make short work of the planet.
