Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle’s Credits Scene Spells Doom For Tanjiro

Warning. If you have yet to see Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, be forewarned that we’ll be diving into serious spoiler territory for the film. In terms of what took place during the movie’s runtime, the Demon Slayer Corps scored some major victories but also suffered some severe defeats. On the positive side, Zenitsu defeated Kaigaku, Tanjiro and Giyu defeated Akaza, and various other Hashira took down countless lower-level demons within the Infinity Castle. Unfortunately, the Insect Hashira Shinobu was killed in her fight against Doma, leaving Kanao as the only one who might take down the demon. With many members of the Corps out of commission, anime viewers are left to witness a terrifying revelation involving Muzan himself.

Even though the demon lord was poisoned thanks to Tamayo’s quick thinking, the Demon Lord appears to have wrapped himself in a cocoon made up of blood and flesh. Even though Muzan couldn’t be killed by anything but the sun, it appears as though he is currently in a state of hibernation to gain an even stronger form as the Hashira keep working their way toward their greatest foe. Despite winning their battles, Tanjiro, Giyu, and Zenitsu are out of commission, and while there are still some big cannons in the Demon Slayer Corps’ arsenal, the odds are stacked against them.

When Is Part 2 Dropping?

As of the writing of this article, Ufotable has yet to reveal when we can expect the second half of this anime trilogy to arrive. There have been rumors circulating online that it might arrive as soon as next year, but nothing has officially been revealed as of yet. Luckily, the manga’s story has already ended, meaning that we won’t need to wait for the source material to finish to see what lies in wait for the Demon Slayer Corps. Considering the major events that have yet to be animated, it’s entirely possible that parts two and three could be just as long, if not longer, than the first entry.

In terms of anime episodes, Demon Slayer hasn’t confirmed if the trilogy film will be translated into its own anime season, as Demon Slayer: Mugen Train had been. Certainly, based on our review, the story of the movie is one that lends itself to hitting the small screen.
