In its latest in a long line of victories, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle just passed 30 billion yen ($204 million) at the Japanese box office. The news was shared via the official Demon Slayer X (formerly Twitter) account, which revealed even more statistics regarding the film’s popularity. “In 52 days of release, it has been viewed by 22,007,405 attendees (with box office revenue of 314,259,169,00 yen) and has been enjoyed by a great many people,” read the post. That is already an impressive feat for a domestic box office haul. But if that wasn’t impressive enough, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has become the fastest film to ever reach that milestone at the Japanese box office.

It’s safe to say that Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has been a big success for Aniplex and Ufotable. But the celebrations aren’t ready to stop yet. The film opened in Japanese theaters in July and has spent eight weeks at the number one spot at the domestic box office. However, it is still yet to reach many international territories.
